Meet Dr. Jordan Maxwell, DACM, DC

Dr. Jordan of Breathe ChiropracticDr. Jordan Maxwell, DACM, DC grew up in Liverpool, New York, and originally envisioned a career in biochemistry research. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from SUNY Oswego, where his passion for understanding the body at a molecular level began. That path shifted, however, when he experienced a profound personal healing: after struggling with Crohn’s disease in his teens, he found lasting relief through acupuncture and herbal medicine. His “biochemistry brain” instantly needed to understand how and why these holistic therapies worked—and from that point forward, he knew he wanted to study them deeply and dedicate his life to practicing integrative medicine.

Dr. Maxwell went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic and a certification in Whole Foods Nutrition from New York Chiropractic College, followed by a second doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Pacific College of Health Sciences in San Diego. This education included receiving training as a primary care physician. His academic contributions include teaching doctoral-level courses in nutrition, biochemistry, and physiology, as well as participating in research in genomics, diabetes, and psychology.

Clinical Expertise

Having healed his own autoimmune struggles and navigated the challenges of ADHD, Dr. Maxwell brings not only clinical expertise but also a deep personal investment in helping patients with these conditions. At the same time, he thrives on the challenge of solving any patient’s unique pattern, guiding them back into balance and their best version of themselves. His approach blends the rigor of biochemistry with the wisdom of traditional healing, always grounded in the belief that every patient carries the potential for profound transformation.
