Meet Nabrina Woelk, Licensed Massage Therapist
Nabrina didn’t come to massage therapy through a straightforward path. She came through illness, reckoning, and the kind of life reset that changes everything.
While working in the medical field, Nabrina contracted viral meningitis. The experience of serious illness — layered on top of other major life changes happening at the same time — forced her to look honestly at how she was living and what her career was costing her. She describes it simply: her career was killing her.
Recovery brought her back to something she had always known but hadn’t yet claimed — a deep connection to healing, plant medicine, and the wisdom of the body. She went back to her roots. And when she took the leap to attend massage school, the first day changed her life.
She trained at the Alaska Institute of Oriental Medicine in Anchorage, Alaska — a rigorous, holistically grounded program that shaped both her technical foundation and her therapeutic philosophy. Today, she brings that foundation, her medical background, and her intuitive hands to every patient she sees at Breathe Chiropractic.
Her Approach
Nabrina describes herself as intuitive, quiet, warm, and thorough — and her patients would agree on all four counts. She works from a foundational belief that the body tells the story and shows the path to healing. Her job, as she sees it, is to listen to what the body is communicating and follow where it leads.
She doesn’t rush. She doesn’t apply a routine. She pays attention — and that attention is what makes her work so effective for patients who have struggled to find lasting relief elsewhere.
Specialties & Certifications
Nabrina holds certifications in modalities that go well beyond general massage therapy:
Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist — Specialized training in working safely and effectively with children, adapting technique, pressure, and approach to the unique needs of younger nervous systems.
Medical Massage Practitioner — Clinical massage training oriented toward specific health conditions, post-surgical recovery, and working within a medical or integrative care context.
Sports Massage & Cupping — Nabrina has a particular passion for sports massage and considers cupping an essential component of athletic recovery — using it to reintroduce blood flow to worked muscles, break up adhesion, and accelerate the healing process in ways that manual work alone can’t fully achieve.
Sports Medicine — An additional layer of clinical knowledge that informs how she approaches injury, recovery, and performance support for active patients.
What She Loves Working With
Nabrina is particularly drawn to patients dealing with chronic pain, sports injuries, and migraines and headaches — conditions where her combination of medical knowledge, clinical certification, and intuitive bodywork tends to produce results that surprise people. If you’ve been living with something persistent that hasn’t fully responded to other approaches, Nabrina is someone worth talking to.
Outside the Office
When she’s not in the treatment room, Nabrina is hiking, lifting weights, or traveling. She’s the proud mom of six kids and two dogs — which, she’ll tell you, keeps life full in the best possible way.
